Starting Strong in Christ
Building your Spiritual Foundation

Welcome to your new journey in faith! As you begin this incredible adventure with Christ, it’s important to establish strong spiritual habits that will nurture and deepen your relationship with God. This guide will help you through essential practices such as diving into the Bible, talking to God through prayer, connecting with other believers, and sharing your new-found hope with others. Let’s explore how these foundational steps can help you grow in your faith and discover the joy and fulfillment that comes from walking closely with the Lord.

Reading Your Bible

The Bible is not just a book; it’s the living word of God. Engaging daily with the scriptures equips and empowers us, guiding our steps and enriching our faith.

  • This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, He hears us. And if we know that hears us-whatever we ask-we know that we have what we asked of Him. 1 John 5:13-15
  • If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. John 15:7
  • Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:19-20
  • If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 1:5-6
Attending Church Regularly

Gathering with other believers is crucial for mutual encouragement and growth.

Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:41-47
