The Best Raise You’ll Ever Get
1 Corinthians 15:42-4

It is the same way with the resurrection of the dead. Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever. 43 Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength.

The Big Idea:

When you hear the word “died” or “dead” a certain feeling of finality hits you. Somebody’s body or some process has stopped – literally. When you hear the word “resurrection” a sense of hope accompanies it. Someone or some situation has made an improbable comeback – figuratively speaking. Jesus was the first person who literally did both. He became a living hope physically promising a similar experience to all who trusted in his person and work that first Easter.

Right now your body is aging and is in a process of eventually stopping – literally. But now, because of a belief in Christ, you are also preparing to get a raise – literally. You will trade in your body built for earth and receive from Jesus a new body built for eternity that lasts forever.

Personal Take Away

Someone who knows with certainty the outcome is positive for them in the end should live with great purpose, boldness, and confidence in the present. You are in! You win! Invite more people to join in!
