Sign Ups for the 2019-2020 CruxGroups season are live!
The deets:
From September 9/11-May 5/13 we will be meeting WEDNESDAY NIGHTS from 7:00-8:30pm to study God’s word, have a time of worship through music, hang with friends, and have some fun. We meet at Crossline Community Church (23331 Moulton Parkway Laguna Hills, CA 92653) in the Fellowship Center.
What are CruxGroups?
CruxGroups offer an incredible opportunity for students to connect on a greater level with God, their friends, and our ministry. We recognize life in middle school and high school can get crazy busy, so CruxGroups offer an amazing opportunity for students to slow down and get some time to focus on Jesus. They also address one of the biggest hurdles in church, getting to know people. We’ve designed CruxGroups so that students can get to know and be known by other students in our ministry. By placing students into groups with other students who are their same grade and gender, our hope is that they will get plugged into our student ministry here at Crossline. Each group will also have an awesome ADULT leader who is responsible for caring for and leading the students throughout the whole year.
Our desire for Wednesday nights is to be an encouraging place for students to study the Bible and process their faith in a group setting, connect with God through worship, hang out with friends, and have some good ol’ fashioned fun. Our hope is that these elements would combine to provide a strong foundation in Christ for our students as they start to take their first steps in making their walk with Jesus their own.
Registration Process:
Students entering 6th-12th grade for the 2019-2020 school year are able to register for CruxGroups.
For this process, we will need parents to REGISTER EACH OF THEIR STUDENTS INDIVIDUALLY. We will also need a Crossline Medical Release Form (which can be completed at the bottom of this page) on file for each student that will be attending.
Our process also includes two REGISTRATION PERIODS, EARLY and LATE. We do this so that we can manage group sizes. When groups get to large it places a lot of burden on our leaders to actually teach through the Bible study, and it can prevent students from feeling comfortable opening up to their group. These two registration periods allow us to give PRIORITY placement in groups to students who register early. By registering your student early, they will have the BEST chance of being placed in their first choice of group.
Our CruxGroup placement policy is centered on honoring at least one of the student’s friend requests (though if you are signing up LATE this CANNOT BE GUARANTEED). While we honor friend requests first when creating our CruxGroups, we do reference previous CruxGroup rosters.
EARLY registration will run August 4th-September 5th, and LATE registration will be anytime on or after Friday September 6th. Again, we desire for students to have the best possible experience with us during CruxGroups, so register early!
Cost:
There is a $30 cost for the WHOLE YEAR (that’s right, $30 covers September 9/11-May 5/13!). This cost includes a CruxGroup t-shirt, CruxGroup materials, and special CruxGroups events that happen throughout the year.
Behavioral expectations:
We want all of our students to have the best possible experience and environment while they are in CruxGroups, so that they can learn and grow in their walk with Christ. In light of this we have FOUR behavioral expectations of all of our students who are a part of our groups on Wednesday nights.
- Following instructions from all CruxGroup leaders
- Listening while others are speaking
- Respecting people and property
- Keeping hands, feet, and objects to self in a safe manner

**Attention!** If your student has come to any of our Crux Summer 2019 events or they came to Hume Lake 2019 with us then we do not need a Crossline Medical Release form. However, if they have not been a part of any of the above options, then please complete the form below.
