CRUXGROUPS

REGISTRATION
PROCESS

Students entering 6th-12th grade for the 2020-2021 school year can register for CruxGroups.

For this process, we will need parents to REGISTER EACH OF THEIR STUDENTS INDIVIDUALLY. We will also need a Crossline Medical Release Form (please see the link below) on file for each student that will be attending. The medical release form is a fillable PDF. There is no need to print. Complete the form on your device, save it and email it to Kylie Healy at  [email protected]. Unless your information has changed, you do not need to complete another form if you completed a Crossline medical release form between March 2019 and August 2020.

Our process also includes two REGISTRATION PERIODS, EARLY and LATE. We do this so that we can manage group sizes. When groups get too large, it places a lot of burden on our leaders to actually teach through Bible study, and it can prevent students from feeling comfortable opening up to their group. These two registration periods allow us to give PRIORITY placement in groups to students who register early. By registering your student early, they will have the BEST chance of being placed in their first group choice.  These registrations periods also give us ample time to find the host homes for each group.

Our CruxGroup placement policy is centered on honoring at least one of the student’s friend requests (though if you are signing up LATE, this CANNOT BE GUARANTEED). While we honor friend requests first when creating our CruxGroups, we do reference previous CruxGroup rosters.  Each group is same grade and gender and is matched with an awesome leader.

EARLY registration will run August 8th-September 1st, and LATE registration will be anytime on or after Friday, September 2nd. Again, we desire for students to have the best possible experience with us during CruxGroups, so register early!

There is a $30 cost for the WHOLE YEAR (that’s right, $30 covers September – May!). This cost includes a CruxGroup t-shirt, CruxGroup materials, and special CruxGroups events that happen throughout the year.

BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS

We want all of our students to have the best possible experience and environment while they are in CruxGroups so that they can learn and grow in their walk with Christ. In light of this, we have FOUR behavioral expectations of all of our students who are a part of our groups on Wednesday nights.

  1. Following instructions from all CruxGroup leaders
  2. Listening while others are speaking
  3. Respecting people and property (especially important as we move off campus!)
  4. Keeping hands, feet, and objects to self in a safe manner

CruxGroups promises to be an incredible time, and we are excited to have your student be a part of them!
