What are CruxGroups?

CruxGroups are our weekly bible studies in the Fall and Spring that meet on Wednesday nights (we take a break during Summer, June-August, and have other events going on!). Each week our students will spend time studying God’s word together, worshipping God through music, hanging out with their friends, and having fun.

CruxGroups are designed to help students get plugged in and experience a deeper community at Crux. One of the biggest obstacles that students have in getting connected at Crux is feeling like no one knows them, or that they don’t have any friends. CruxGroups is HANDS DOWN the BEST way to fight against this. These groups are specifically designed so that students will be known, and have friends in the ministry. We get students plugged in by placing them in small groups with other students who are their same grade and gender, AND we give them one of our awesome CruxGroup leaders who is going to help them process and walk through life with them.

While CruxGroups provide students with community and fun, the primary purpose is focused on opening up the Bible together. These groups are going to be studying God’s word together that our students might come to know Christ and live their lives for Him. We want our students to not only say they are a Christian, but to actually live like a follower of Jesus. Our groups are meant to help students own their faith by discipling them through studying God’s word and prayer. So, each week our CruxGroups leaders will be taking their group through an age appropriate and age specific Bible study.
