Every once in awhile life throws us a curve ball. A new season of life. A major life change. A diagnosis. A relational issue. Whether the change is welcome or unwanted these events alter the course of our days and sometimes, our lives. “Overwhelmed” describes the state of our soul.

God knows. He’s our Father, our Daddy, and whatever happens—good or bad—He holds our hand. Being his child brings comfort when we’re overwhelmed with sorrow and confidence when we’re overwhelmed with fear. He can turn our insecurities into security. If we let Him.

When I am overwhelmed, you alone know the way I should turn. (Psalm 142:3a)
